The past few months have been extremely difficult more so than the past few years. I feel like my house has negative energy and it's contributing to the problems my husband and I have been experiencing. I consulted with a psychic medium and she said that there is negative energy attached to the land the house is on and that my husband has negative attachments which is causing his anger issues. He drinks and uses drugs which doesn't help. I was told this also attracts negative entities to him. I have been personally attacked by this negative energy when trying to clear the house of this negativity. I burned sage in the house to cleanse it but the sage I used was old and somewhat degraded since it was sitting around the house for years in a plastic bag. I became very sick from burning it. Now two months later I'm still having respiratory issues. Also, the day before I burned the sage an empty tea kettle spewed hot water all over my arm and burned it pretty badly. I then called a priest to bless our house. The week before the blessing my husband's car was vandalized several times, the heater in our house stopped working amongst other things and my car broke down. Being concerned for our safety I consulted a Shaman. She found that my husband does have negative energies attached to him and that the energy in the house is like a hornet's nest with energy swirling around and she said it has a dark, heavy energy. She performed a soul retrieval for us and a power animal retrieval and told the negative attachments to stay away from him. Then a week after this I got into a car accident... How can I protect myself from these negative energies until I'm able to move?... I'm trying so hard to make sense of all this. I've always tried to be a kind, caring, spiritual person and I don't understand how or why this happening to me. I don't know if this is some kind of purification process or dark night of the soul? Dear One,

You are going through a time of great difficulty, it is true, and must try to endure it as best you can. The purification issues that are rippling through all of these events are numerous, and it is not possible, ordinarily, to know with assurance what is being purified or why through these different events. Only know that there is a forward movement happening for you as a result of all that you are enduring, and that it will bring you into a place of greater clarity and peace.

The subject of interacting with negative energies is a complex one, and there is the matter of clearing the house, the land, and your own body and heart as well as that of your partner. It is most important to know that in the presence of darkness, one needs to turn repeatedly to the Source of light, and that this must be done not only through the intervention of others, but through your own prayer and that of your partner. There is no one who can do for you what you can and must do for yourself in the way of realigning with light. This is true for your partner as well.

The land that you are living on can be cleared of a certain amount of negative energies. However, the interaction with this type of negativity is part of the picture of your purification process, and the means to get through it is within you as you turn repeatedly to the Source of light. To put it differently, you are experiencing in many ways and on multiple levels the relationship between light and darkness, and in this time and moment must understand that the victory of light over darkness lies in your own heart, and in the belief that light is stronger.

Hold to this, pray for this, and ask your partner to pray for this as well. There are beliefs here that are in need of healing and that are being healed and so you must persevere in this practice. All blessings to you, dear one. Do not be afraid. Light is stronger than darkness and you can turn to that inner knowledge over and over again in your prayer and affirmation life.
